Omniverse Live is a real-time online multi-player game where players pilot space ships and vie for control of the galaxy.
A player's general goal is to make money by trading or capturing cargo, and then use that money to buy new ships, weapons, and upgrades. Along the way you will increase your pilot rank, discover planets, and fight other players in real-time space combat.
The purpose of this help system is to provide context sensitive information about game functionality. If you can't find an answer to your question here, please contact us at info@greenrobot.com or try our forum.
Omniverse Live requires an internet connection in order to play. Having a fast WiFi connection is recommended as it helps ensure a good game play experience, but 3G and Edge may work as well. If you notice the game play getting 'choppy' you might have a slow connection.
If you are having trouble connecting to Omniverse Live, please make sure that you have a valid internet connection (can you access the internet via Safari?). Also, if you're on WiFi behind a router, make sure that it is not blocking port 15789 and that it allows UDP traffic.
If your connection problems persist, try again later (our servers might be down), or contact us at info@greenrobot.com.
STAR accounts are required in Omniverse if you want to buy the more advanced ships. Omniverse Live is free to try, but after you begin to advance in the game a STAR account will become necessary.
To get a STAR account, simply attempt to buy a ship that requires one. You will then be prompted to purchase a STAR account using in-app purchase. STAR accounts are inexpensive and are our way of letting you demo the app before you have to buy it.
